LT4 My Previous LT4 is on e-bay

1996 LT4 Topic
The LT4 did not come with an automatic option. It is like the ZR1 and the ZO6, only manuals.

6 SHOOTER,would this car have been at Arts corvettes across from the museum a few months back,if so then its probably the one I saw there, we stopped by Arts on the way back from the museum and factory awhile back. From what Im remembering about it, it was really nice looking and in great shape, red on black, right? I dont remember what they had on the window then.

Yes - It is at Art's

He bought it from me last fall . . .

Funny...

that car will go for at least 19k. After reading all the recent hoopla about how little the C4's are worth, I am surprised. I have a black LT4 with 24k miles and from what I was hearing last month, I should have believed it to be worth 15k. Yes, you CAN get a C5 for those prices. But the condition is the key. I would not want a whipped C5 just to say I had a C5.

As stated earlier in this thread . . .

The LT4 Coupe was stock except for the K&N open air lid . . . the LS1 Roadster has had a few mods. C5 LS1 - Bolt On HP Increases

I'd say the LS1/Z51 is faster and the LT4/Z51 cornered better?

As you have owned & driven both. What are your views in comparing your 2 Vettes.

Which would you say has more punch from:

0 - to 80mph
30 - to 80 mph
Stoplight to stoplight

I'm guessing that the C-5 is probably an all round more comfortable driver & perhaps more stable at speeds in excess of 100 but was wondering if you would consider your c-4 a better ..... ummmm ..... "street fighter" if you know what I mean.

Thanks for your views!
Top Speed, the LT4 Coupe has it over the LS1 Roadster!

Street Fighter - I'd have said the LT4 Coupe before my trip thru St. Louis last weekend driving from KY to MO. A modded Mustang wanted to play, so we had fun, well at least I did. The LS1 Roadster was no slouch when it came to getting with the program. The Mustang played alot of catch up.

The C5's Z51 is not as aggressive as the C4's Z51. The C5's Z51 is a little easier on the body on long cross-country hauls. The C4's Z51 was great carving thru curvy backcountry roads!

You have a tough decision LT4 or LS1 Roadster. ;shrug

But heck you can't lose, they are both Great Corvettes! :upthumbs

I figured it would hit 20000.00 I joined this site after it was sold. We do real well with any LT4. If they are rare and nice they bring all the money.
As a dealer I would have paid 18000 for it just to have it. There are very few LT4's around so they will hold the value.

The 95 LT-1 that I will (I damn well better) be buying tomorrow is Z51 equiped but also comes with the FX3 adjustable suspension. Do you know, does "softer" setting on the FX3 overcome the real stiffness of the single setting on z51-only equiped vetts or are all 3 settings really hard?

Thanks, Peabody

I don't think Z51 is selectable.

I have never driven a C4 with the selectable suspension.

My dad has a C5 vert. I can blow his doors off with my LT4. Even my '93 LT1 was about equal in straight line performance... His is an automatic though, with performance axle. not sure how much better the C5 is with a 6 speed.

Comfort wise, the C5 is better, if it has the feel you want. I find the C5 to be a nice driver (like a caddilac would be) but not good for performance. I always feel like I am going to slide off the side of the seat in a hard corner.

If you are more into cruising, C5 vert hands down. Performance, LT4. I would actually rather the C5 vert at this point, as I haven't been to the track in years.

She sold for $22K

Found out the other day that Art's sold my LT4 for $22K!

It did not sell on e-bay, an individual from North Carolina bought her.

Just goes to show ya, a well taken care of LT4 with all the toys/options will sell for some good coin, just a matter having/taking the time and the right buyer.
