Question: Mystery Rocker switch

I have a 73, which I am trying to get everything working again, and am currently trying to get the interior lights working (dash lights, gauges etc). Ive taken the center console off while chasing odd wires and now see the underside on the mystery 3 position pulse switch. Ive wondered ever since I bought this vette about what it could have been used for. Its beneath the removable armrest pad behind the parking brake. It has inch long remnants of a blue, green and red wire cut off (coming out of it). If it was factory the trim is missing to make it look neat. The switch has front and back arrow indicators.
Anyone know?
