Yep, what are they?
Rear drivers side of engine compartment (coil is removed in photo).

"A" is a 30-amp self-resetting circuit breaker, most likely for the power window feed circuit; don't know what the relay at "B" is for - should show in the Assembly Manual or Shop Manual wiring diagram.

Yes I have p/w. I have tried to identify the other one thru the wiring diagram without success, I will try the assembly manual.
Thanks for the input.

i too am curious about B. i think mine is missing! then again ,alot is MIA on my car!

Maybe mine is added... :confused
As always, it's the issue with the previous owner :)

Well no, I couldn't find it in the assembly manual, but I think I have found it in the wiring diagram for the engine compartment. Connected to "hood air door sol", whatever that is??
I'm not good at interpreting those wiring diagrams. Each part is numbered, but how do you find the reference for those numbers? And the wires, in this case they are marked 18, but 18 in the electrical circuit identification chart does not make sense at all? (Rear left stop and direction lamp, should be yellow, not black/tan.)

Johan: "hood air door sol" should stand for the little door/flapper under your hood, the solenoid is the little drum looking thing connected to it.
It's supposed to open to let more air in.... when we dont see it. ;)
Hopefully someone more technical can explain this better then moi..

18 gauge. I don't know if similar terminology is used in Europe.

There is/was a switch somewhere on the throttle linkage that closes at wide-open throttle, energizing that relay, which in turn energizes the solenoid that opens the air door in the back of the hood.

g'day all, now i have to find that relay. before i changed hood i re-connected the clipped wires going to the air flapper. however, i never noticed a relay where johan's is. another curious item to find.

BTW, john Z, i've been reading many back issues of the Corvette Restorer, you're quite the jounalist! i enjoy reading your articles and learn more about your background everytime!

67,
:duh
Thanks, Yes, we use cable cross section area in mm2

JohnZ/Stefan,
Thanks, I had no idea that the 74 have an air door in the back of the hood, I have never noticed that. Maybe mine is removed, I must sneak out to the garage to check this out right away.
