NASCAR putting emphasis on back-to-basics racing

Nascar like so many other companies,made changes that just didn't work.Now,they are "going back to basics".

I would suggest they give the teams:

3 Choices of gear ratios
3 Choices of shock pkgs
3 Choices of tire compounds

Let the driver & crew chief figure out what's best for their team and their goals.Every team does NOT go to races to win.Many want to finish in the top 20 and bring it home in one big piece and make enough to race next week.
