Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

NASCAR's 2009 Season is almost here...

The shootout was great, but they were letting it all hang out...the races thursday will put you to sleep. Too many cars already know they're in so they'll be on the extreme side of conservative to take care of the cars. The twin races have been reduced to having almost no meaning at all...giving 35 cars an automatic entry is the worst thing nascar has ever done, if they want to award a certain number of cars free passes then make that a bonus to making the chase for the cup at the end of the season, that would make it really mean something huge for getting into the chase.

My last understanding was 39 spots are already taken, that leaves 4 places for 22 cars that are still on the outside looking in. If that's all it's going to be, then just put those 22 cars in a race by themselves, take the top 4 to transfer and start tail end on the field and line everyone else up by qualifying time like normal. What they're doing now sucks!!!
