National Corvette Homecoming
Enthusiasts from across the country hopping in, starting up and heading back to the birthplace of America’s sports car

Owners and fans of the Corvette will converge at a different location this year for the 27th annual National Corvette Homecoming.
The event will be Friday through Sunday at Sloan Convention Center. Admission is $10 per person per day and free for children under 12. Military personnel, General Motors employees and Western Kentucky University students with identification will receive half-off admission.
“We decided to move it because we were enticed by the convention center,” Corvette Homecoming owner Joe Pruitt said. “We’re closer to hotels, restaurants and downtown. We have an air-conditioned facility.”
This year’s Corvette Homecoming will feature a variety of car shows, seminars, vendors and other activities, Pruitt said. There will also be discussions about the powerful L88 engine and the new ZR1 and a seminar by Bloomington Gold chief executive officer David Burroughs.
“Bloomington Gold is the (longest running continuous) Corvette show,” he said.
The Corvette Parade will line up at 6 p.m. Saturday at Hobby Lobby parking lot and leave at 6:30 p.m. The parade will end with a Hawaiian luau at Baymont and Hampton Inns. There will be an outdoor showing of the movie “Corvette Summer” starring Franklin native Annie Potts.
Pruitt believes participants will enjoy this year’s homecoming.
“I think this will be the biggest year we’ve had since I’ve owned it,” he said.

Saturday
8 a.m.: Arts and crafts marketplace with handmade goods
Vendor swap meet featuring auto parts
Car corral open to all makes and models
Drive by shooting featuring NCM Hall Of Famer Gordon Killebrew
Registration for car shows is $45 for two days and additional show classes are $15 each
9:45 a.m.: Driver’s meeting for Sans Pareil on stage
10 a.m.: Sans Pareil Show featuring select Corvettes
10:30 a.m.: Seminar by Paul Graham, “What’s Going On At The Plant,” in Meeting Room 1
11:30 a.m.: Seminar by Tom Hill, “A Walk Around The New ZR-1,” in the Special Car Area
noon: Drivers meeting for Corvette Show cars at side entrance
12:15 p.m.: Car shows judged by retired and active GM factory employees
12:30 p.m.: Seminar by Wil Cooksey, “The State Of The NCM,” in Meeting Room 3
12:30 p.m.: Celebrity judges meeting in Judges Meeting Room
1 p.m.: Celebrity Select - All Corvettes with paid admission are eligible
1:30 p.m.: Seminar by David Burroughs, “How and Why Of Bloomington Gold,” in Meeting Room 1
2 p.m.: Vettetastic auction on stage
2:30 p.m.: Seminar by John Ballard, “Recognizing Factory Correctness,” in Meeting Room 3
4 p.m.: Celebrity autographs, will include celebrity judges
6:30 p.m.: All Corvette Parade
7:30 p.m. All makes and models cruise-in after the parade in the parking lots of the Baymont and Hampton Inns. The theme will be a Hawaiian luau. Food will be catered by the Santa Fe Restaurant. Adult beverages will be available. The outdoor movie will be “Corvette Summer.” Live music with The Jackie Fox Band, presented By Advance Auto Parts.
