John Oates Hauls Across Corvette Country ​

On Monday, February 20 the Museum and Motorsports Park played host to a familiar face from the music world. John Oates, of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates, was on site to film a sizzle reel with Gamma Blast Studios out of Nashville, TN. The program, titled "Haulin' Across America," will potentially be picked up and aired by History Channel and/or Travel Channel and focuses on the history of transportation. While at the Museum, John learned about the history of the Corvette by Delivery Department team member Larry Crosbie, followed by a look at our restoration area with Daniel Decker. At the Motorsports Park, Track Operations Manager Matt Busby hosted John for some laps. Fingers crossed that the piece turns into a full-blown season. We'll keep you updated on any future air dates! ​

Callaway Program Manager Chris Chessnoe gives us a closer look at the last of the C4 era Callaway Corvettes. Find out why it is known as, "the Mini-Sledge" and discover another reason to come to the National Corvette Museum to see these cars for yourself. The 15-car display runs now through May 5, 2017. ​

New Corvette Birth Certificates Introduced ​

Corvette customers who want the full experience of watching their vehicle being assembled through the NCM Buyers' Tour Program can then bring their car to life seconds after it makes contact with the floor and leaves the assembly line. Mike and Glenda Winters took this opportunity to "birth" their 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray in February and were the first customers to receive the newly designed birth certificate. Plant floor operators at the end of the line guide customers through this experience and provide a Corvette birth certificate to the recipient. With honor, the operator signs on behalf of the UAW Local 2164 members and awards the symbolic token to the new proud owner. ​
