While the now infamous Corvette-swallowing sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum was an unfortunate event, the occurrence continues to bring opportunities for media coverage to Bowling Green. Such was the case early this spring when Ugly Duckling Entertainment visited, filming segments for the new show,Nick’s Wild Ride, airing on the Outdoor Channel.
This season of Nick’s Wild Ride features 13 episodes, with the National Corvette Museum and NCM Motorsports Park being featured on episode 110: Fast Cars and Fast Bucks.

[TD="align: left"] Bowling Green Airport Offering Commercial Flights

For the first time in 44 years the Bowling Green / Warren County Regional Airport is offering commercial flights. Flights to and from Atlanta, GA and Destin, FL are now available through Contour Airlines.​

Contour Airlines was announced in May as the airline providing service from Bowling Green to Atlanta twice daily during the week, and once a day on weekends. The airline will also be offering flights from Bowling Green to Destin, Florida at least twice a week on a seasonal basis.​

Clubs and Enthusiasts Featured

Each year we update the content featured in the Enthusiast area of the Museum. Two clubs were selected in a random drawing to be highlighted in the Museum for the Club Spotlight: Corvette Club of Rhode Island and Route 66 Corvette Club. The clubs each setup artifacts for display, and provided photos and information about their club for a poster.

We also updated the screen showing photos of 2016 Car Show Winners with their award and Corvette and 47 enthusiasts are now featured. Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry! If you didn't make the cut, be sure to take some pictures of your wins next year. We'll solicit again in the fall! Check out the photos online here or on your next visit to the Museum in our Enthusiast area.​

Each May we begin accepting reservations for the banner spots in our parking lot from Corvette Clubs and the banners are hung just before our Labor Day weekend Anniversary each year.
