On Saturday, April 9, Don Franklin Chevrolet of Somerset, KY and Museum Master Ambassador Adam Ellison organized and hosted a Corvettes for Kids poker run, taking enthusiasts for a drive around Lake Cumberland with stops including three marinas. With 22 Corvettes participating plus Holley Performance Products' Camaro SS, over $700 was raised for the Museum's Fund A Fieldtrip program.

Each May the

Museum welcomes 4th Generation Corvettes (1984-1996) featuring seminars, tours and other activities specific to those models. Co-hosted by the Grand Sport Registry and ZR-1 Net Registry, online pre-registration which includes a commemorative hard card credential, lanyard and event pin is $15 for Lifetime Members, $20 for Members and $30 for non-members. The event is May 12-14 and the complete event agenda and registration is available online here.​

A new program is available to help revitalize weathered Walk of Fame bricks outside the Museum, and those participating in the program are rewarded with a premium brick location by out turntable display, not available for purchase. The brick can accommodate up to three lines of text, 13 characters and/or spaces per line.

Special thanks goes out to the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club and NCM Fighter Squadron who have stepped up to participate. "Our mission is to support the NCM and we decide to support the beautification project because anything that helps improve the NCM benefits the NCM," said Dorothy Crocker with the Squadron.

Cost to participate is $1,000 which will replace 12 bricks. To help improve your Museum, please call Becky at 270-467-8836.​

Ed Welburn, Vice President of General Motors Global Design, is retiring effective July 1 after 44 years with the company. He has led GM Design since 2003. Replacing Welburn is Michael Simcoe, a 33-year veteran of GM Design and Vice President of GM International Design based in Australia and Korea.
