[TABLE="align: left"] <tbody> [TR] [TD="align: left"] [h=1]From NAIAS Eye Candy to Track to Street[/h] ​ Regardless of what emblem your car wears, you can't help but be in awe walking through the exhibitions at the 2016 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Open to the public January 16-24, this event brings together the latest in tech and design in the form of gleaming vehicles and larger than life displays that have to be seen to be believed.​ Corvette fans will immediately find themselves drawn to the Michelin exhibit as it has been designed to celebrate the track to street connection. Lee Willard from the Michelin Research Group shared with us an exciting new product - a product that was developed after interaction with enthusiasts at Corvette Museum events and races.​ We have the skinny on those new tires, as well as loads of eye candy from the event on our blog here.​

[TABLE="align: left"] <tbody> [TR] [TD="align: left"] [h=1]American Muscle Exhibit Opens[/h] January 15 through March 25 the National Corvette Museum is hosting in the Exhibit Hall fourteen examples of American Muscle as part of a Hot Rod / Street Rod exhibit. The exhibit features a little something for everyone, from 1932 to 1973, and from Chevrolet to Ford and others in between.​ "When we added on the Exhibit Hall in 2009, the thought was that the space could be used for a variety of exhibits," said Bob Hellmann, Facilities and Displays Manager. "We try to select exhibits that will appeal to a new audience, while offering a little something extra for our Corvette fans. This allows us to give our visitors 45 minutes of Corvette and about 15 minutes of something different during their tour." ​ Read more about this special display online here.​

But when you are a kid - the next best thing just may be a visit to the National Corvette Museum. That's exactly what our friend Grant got for his fifth birthday on Tuesday. We were able to spend a little time with Grant and his family, taking them "behind the scenes" tour of the Museum and even letting Grant test to make sure the horn on our 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette was working!
