Corvette Wins “Ride of O5” at Spike TV AutoRox Awards
The 2005 Chevrolet Corvette drove away with the top honors winning the car of the year category, "Ride of '05" at Spike TV's AutoRox, the first ever nationally televised auto awards show. Hosted by Carmen Electra and Joe Rogan, AutoRox honored and celebrated America's passion for the automobile. Corvette also picked up the “Maximum G” Sports Car of 2005 award. The 90-minute show, taped at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles, will air tonight (9-10:30pm ET/PT) on Spike TV. For more information on Spike TV visit their website at: www.spiketv.com
Flint Bricks to Commemorate a Special Event
Personalize a historic flint brick with a commemorative plate highlighting an anniversary, birthday or Corvette Club name for the Corvette enthusiast in your life! This unique gift is one they will cherish because it was preserved from the Corvette Assembly Plant in Flint, Michigan where the 1953 Corvette was built. You can recognize a special occasion or offer a flint brick to your Corvette Club or members. You can even mark your participation at an NCM event and select a specific numbered brick with up to five digits - 45,000. These special pieces of Corvette history are available at $100 for NCM members and $150 for non-members. All non-members ordering a flint brick will receive a “complimentary” Individual membership to the Museum. We just received confirmation that GM Powertrain’s Base Engine Design System Engineer, Mark Damico will be presenting an exciting seminar at the C5/C6 Bash on the Gen3/Gen4 small block engines, particularly the new LS7 offered in the new Z06 Corvette.
