I think I want 'finger type' lift for my garage. There are a lot of them available, but I want a decent price on a quality unit. Used is okay, too.

I'd appreciate feedback on whatever aspect you can offer, whether cable drive, hydraulic or whatever. The unit must lift a Corvette that is lowered about an inch and not require major work for the install.

It took me an hour to jack the Vette up high enough to (somewhat) comfortably get under it for work. I will be doing a fair amount more, on another project, plus the routine mx on my other 'wheels'. I don't want a 'drive-on'.

I don't have one yet, but I think I would also prefer the two-post type lift.

Check the Garage Depot section down in the General Corvette Forums. Lots of good info there.

AH. Merci'.

I purchased my 4 post (Pro Park 7) from www.gregsmithequipment.com they have the 2 post style also. They were great to deal with and had the best prices. Somethings to consider when choosing between 2 and 4 post is ceiling height for a 2 post will require minumin 11'-10" and only 2 pads supporting all that weight you'll need good thick cement or it will crack. Also a 4 post comes with a caster kit so your'e not locked down to one location. I just use the jack trays when I want to remove the wheels.

I feel your pain. Wish I could help, but I'm in the market for a lift as well. Mind if I just tag along your thread? Maybe I'll get a bit of good info too.

I am more imformed, but more confused now. One lengthy post there has a lot to consider. The concrete issue is large, and more of a concern with the two poster. They take less room, but may impede door opening. Most of my use woule be for routine things, like brake and tire work.

The I like the (caster) roll around option on the 4-poster, at least for small adjustments, but I am not sure if I want such an imposing, permanent fixture in my garage. Delivery is also difficult due to the size, not having a fork lift and only a Suburban.

Finally, I have never been happy with the quality, etc. of Chinese tools. Seller sknow this sentiment and mask Chinese origin rather well.

Just ordered my Pro Park 7 yesterday!! Also ordered two of the Pro Jacks to go with it! Should drop it off Monday afternoon! I'm like a kid waiting for christmas!!!!

Our Snap-On 2 post lift is an excellent piece of equipment but I would never pay the retail price and I would buy a smaller unit. Overkill is not always a good thing. You do not need the ability to lift a White Freightliner unless you actually have a White Freightliner to lift.:eyerole
