fair pricing

Thanx all for the e-bay site ... thought that was just for computers and used lamps! I checked with the "Vette-n-Vestments" newsletter and the average price for a 67 in my area was $35,000, no specs on engine, ammenities, etc. Just the average price.

Does that mean that the 67 327/350 with no side pipes and a color change from green to rally red and 60,000 miles at $39,900 is high?

Would anyone trust a dealer?

Any experience with a dealer named Northwest Auto Sales in Ohio?

I'm looking at 13 ads and am starting with the cars closest to home. (There's one in France ... yeah right ... I'll be there next week to pick it up ... how do you get it here anyway????)

Is it ok to ask if anyone in this site has a car, or is this just advice land?

I got 4 of um, and very few here are not Vette owners.:v :bar :m

67

I guess I didn't finish my sentence ... I meant does anyone know of one FOR SALE. I know you guys have vettes ... you've been giving me some great advice. I feel like I have big brothers now! (and sisters, too.)

Mr. Iron Cross:

Do you mean you have four 67's?!!!

If you do, you need to share!

I have to say learn as much as you can, read as much as you can take, look at as many vettes as you can, talk to as many people as you can, and hook up with your local club or find vette guys/gals near you to help you out until you become comfortable checking out a vette by yourself. I knew enough to be dangerous when I bought mine and knew most of the problems before I got the car but I STILL missed a few things. This is almost to be expected on a car/vette that has not had a body off restoration. If you aren't mechanically inclined I would definately go for the vette that has been taken care of or had a body off. The vettes are out there for the right price if you are willing to wait. I could have waited a little longer but bought a 66 that wasn't exactly what I wanted but it was more of what I wanted than what I didn't. Put it this way I looked seriously for almost a year. I traveled almost 400 miles in every direction from my house and looked at over 30 vettes for sale that is not including the ones I looked at, at shows. The last piece of advice I can give you is be careful. There are crooks out there and there are people that think they have a diamond in the rough. To bad most of those vettes are just rough. Dave..

No on the 67`s, What I currently have is the 62, 68, 84 and 86, which were all purchased new. I regret selling two of my others which were a 1961 315hp solid White FI car and a 1963 solid Black 375 hp FI coupe. I can`t help you on your search, I have never bought a used Vette. Just get as good as you can afford and you will actually save money as the parts for these cars are very expensive. :cool :upthumbs

There is a 65 coupe 327/350 nassau blue here for about 20,000US with a 2 year old frame off resto!
Send me 20K and I'll drive her down for you!:w
