The light on my temperture control panel will not turn off. All other interior lights/gauge lighting go out as normal when the car is locked. This just started, prior to this I've had not problems with it.

The vette is a 1999 C5 with no mods except catback exhaust and CAG eliminator.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this.

Welcome to :CAC ! I can't help with your problem, but I am sure someone who can will chime in soon. :w

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Battery has been dis-connected, no change, the light still remains on. I also pulled out the BCM made sure it had no water damage, etc., cleaned it up and re-installed it. The light is still on.

Any other thoughts?

Grasping at straws now- but check all fuses located in the engine compartment and in the passengers side foot well.

Finding a blown fuse may indicate a short some where contributing to this.

If the system still works fine but one of the indicator lights stays on, I would rather remove the light than take the car to the dealer for repair. Its not hard to remove the console and the radio and climate control unit just to inspect for a improperly seated connector or pulled and shorting wire.

The unit itself amy have a problem. I wish my car had the manual controls.

Thanks for the reply, that sounds like a good idea. I have never removed the console components, do you have details on the best way to go about that? Appreciate the info/
