Hello,
Got the 4.10 gears in and while we had the exhaust off decided to install the B&M shifter. I'd done one on a Borg Warner transmission but not on a ZF. Anyway it's a little more involved as you have to do some work from the bottom as well as the top.
Got the shifter installed and am driving it but am having a hard time getting the rubber boot reinstalled. I have the top part of the console off. It looks like it would be easy if the left side of the console was also off but it looks like you would probably have to remove the drivers seat and some of the carpeting to do that. I might be able to pull the boot down over the transmission shifter opening by doing it from below with someone in the car assisting but haven't had time to try it yet.
If anyone has any experience with this situation, I would appreciate some advice.
