NEED HELP WITH EXHAUST ON 2003 Z06

Im just wondering if i take the cats out can i get a custom tune so the check engine wont be on, i dont want the car to run lean or rich by taking the cats out or anything like that.

the cars a 2003 z06. If anyones messed with the cats or knows wha to do here, or the best option i would appreciate any help.

Hi Ironranger30 -

On my 02 Z, I have LG headers and no cats.

We moved the REAR o2 sensors to the front location, and the original front pair of sensors are removed.

The tune eliminated the rear sensor messages.

The tuner also needs to eliminate the "slow sensor response" codes that will throw an SEL, but this does not impact how the car runs.

In short - I have LG pro's. no cats and no codes.

Call Doug Rippie Motorsports in Buffalo or Max Olsen, Olsen Corvette in St. Bonifacious. Max did mine. He also eliminated the CAGS.
