Need help(1996 LT1 corvette)

Hi guys..

I hope you understand this message..because english is my second language.

I bought my dream vette october last year. I used have a 1996 Pontiac Firebird 3.8 (A4).
i felt totally different bewteen both car. power, handing etc..
I am very happy with My C4.

Anyway My old vette has run good since last october.

bUT now I have a headache problem now.

1996 corvette LT1 coupe(A4) 62,000miles K&N filter.Muffler Eliminater,TB bypass,

When i give my car gas under light throttle conditions, it idles and running is oK But when getting on the pedal hardly(drive or stand) it will pop and hesitate(like knocking sound). this make me crazy stuff. i had it checked up yesterday using GM-OBD2-scanner.

No code was given. No sys light yet

*The engine only has this hesitation when the throttle is quckly opened.(like hard gas on)
*when I start my car start slowly ,it run OK.
* I think this might be happen after flushed cooling system 4days ago. ?
*When engine is cold, RPM rise OK.(even Quick Accelerating in Idle) then engine is getting hot RPM is rise badly in quick accelerlation(with knocking sound)

I checked below list with scan tool but all data was OK.

1. fuel filter
2. opti spark
3. check mnifold gask leaking
4. Mass Air Flow Sensor.MAP sensor
5. fuel pressure check
6. TPS
7. Back pressure check
8, clean the Throttle body
9. spark plug cable plugs

Do you have any idea fix this problem?

*Car only hesitation with popping sound when the throttle is quckly opened at approx 1500 RPM

Sounds like a problem I had with mine last year. I replaced the fuel pump and it corrected the problem,

Bad opti spark.

It might have gotten wet when you flushed the radiator.

It is a common problem on those year models.

You got the opt a spark wet. That same thing happened to me after a engine wash. Did you use the coolent bleed valve while refilling the coolent cause that is right above the opt a spark. I beleave the 96 has a vented opt a spark so it may dry out but being you probly got it wet with anifreeze this doesn't dry as easly as water. useing at you own risk (I suggest a cool engine) flush the area where antifreeze went with rubbing alcahol this will mix with the antifreeze and evaporate it more rapidly. I also ran the car tell it got hot and let it cool and repeated this several times to get mine dried out.

Good luck
