Little help needed from my Corvette friends. I'm installing a Derale electric fan kit in my 76 Vette and need a little help on where to wire the wire from the relay to an ignition run wire. The only reference book I have is a Haynes and the wiring diagrams are a bit confusing to say the least. Is there a wire on the engine side that I can tap into?

Thanks,
Ron

there is a switch/sensor you can get from one of the corvette supply houses
for what you want to do.It goes into the plug on the right hand side of the engine between cyl's 6 & 8.It has a preset temp when it goes on and off....OR I suppose you get a wire it direct to a hot feed with an on-off switch as well....as far as finding a hot lead, hook to the battery with an on/off switch...
I wouldn't do that to my vette.then it looks like Bubba got a hold of it

If the wire is only to trigger the relay and not to power the fan's you can tap into the ignition wire. That is the right wire when looking to your ignition :)
