Wow, so many forums, so little time. I had an 86' several years ago, and am now in the market for a '90-'96 'vette. Problem is, the more I read on our site, the more I am confused. LT1's, c-4's, LT-4's, CE, etc. Is there a good book or a place on the site that will help me to know what the different models are for given years. I have seen the specifications part of the site, but they dont always discuss models, packages, engine options. If I am going to be an informed buyer, and not get screwed, I need to figure out what I am potentially buying or not buying. Any help will be greatly appreciated by this cowboy..............Ken:

Welcome to CAC...

Have you looked through the Knowledge base and the model center?
Look through the various forums concerning the model you like most. Ask questions of the administrators and moderators who will be glad to point you in the right direction and or folks to ask questions of.

Enjoy the warmth of our little community, and if you ever have a question, or if there are any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. :upthumbs

the basics of the C4 are

84 = crossfire engine
85-91 = L98 (except ZR1 with LT5)
92-96 = LT1
96 6-speed = LT4
CE = 1996 Collector Edition (or 1982 Collector edition)

so, for your 90-96 search, i assume price is a huge factor.... if you would like to share how much $$ you want to spend, coupe/convertible, 6 speed/auto, and how many miles per year you intend to drive it, I can point you in the right direction(s)
