Hi,

Winter is fast approaching up here and I dont want to park my vette until it actually starts to snow.

But theres one little problem, my blower motor does not work. Actually in the 2 years that I have owned the car it never has.

Before I go and start fooling around with the switch and the fuses and the wires. Does anybody here have any tips or steps that i should go through for fixing this problem.

I think most likely its not the fan but the actual connections to it like the wires or switch.

Any kind of help would be great.

You could also check out the blower relay. not sure where it is located on your car but it is on the firewall on my 82.

I have a 1977. I suggest that you first check the ground wire to the blower motor. It is a single black wire. It is located under the hood, but it is on the passenger firewall, very close to the fender area. Very far back there. It is the only single black wire back there and it has a connector which connects it to the firewall. (the rear of the blower fan)

The blower relay is on the firewall on the passenger side of the car. It's up kinda high and is rectangle shaped. Very easy to get to.

Check out the attached pic. The relay is the silver rectangle near the center of the pic. The connector that is a little lower and to the right of the pic connects to some resistors which control the fan speed settings.

after all that...

If it is the motor, then go to auto zone. I bought mine for $19.00 dollars and it is made by Siemmens. It looks 99% exact :upthumbs
