I had a weird experience tonight! My 86 has been giving me a code 32 when I hit the highway. It has also given me a code 45.Well,tonight I was driving home and my voltage went from a 10.6-11.3. When I was crusing at 60 it stayed an 11.Now the really unusual thing.I tried to turn down the digital dash lights and the only thing that would dim was the other lights inside.Usually my dash flickers, but after this it never did!!It was great to have a dash that was so lit up,but something is going on here!!!When I got home, there was no code 45,but instead it gave me a 13 and 32.??Could this be my ECM or is my dash going out along with the EGR??Thanks ahead of time for any advice.

Code 32-exhaust gas recirculation circuit.

Code 13-oxygen sensor circuit.

Code 45-rich exhaust.

I do know the codes, but the code 45 is no longer there!!!!Instead it is a 13 and 32.I am wondering if I am getting false readings from the ECM??Is this possible? Also,I have the situation with the dash and other lights inside.Could the ECM cause this?

I doubt that it could be the ECM. ECM failures are not very common. But it seems like it's something with an electrical sensor. The rich code was probably not there anymore because it corrected itself. It's my belief that the harder your engine runs, the more difficult it will be to correct itself. The oxygen sensor circuit will cause a rich code because the O2 sensor senses the air/fuel ratio. At low speeds, a faulty O2 sensor may not have trouble adjusting.
