Is there anyone close to Virginia Beach that could inspect a vette for me?

Wish I was headed that way soon.. I don't live to far and was within a hours drive today working.. Here's a TTT though.. Let me know if no one looks at this for you.. Email me your number so if I get up there this week I might be able to take a look at this for you.. Dave..

Its actually near Moyock, NC. Someone looked at it for me, but really gave me no insight into the condition of the car, just told me it wasn't "clean". Tried to tell me that a 69 427 4-speed coupe, wasnt worth more than 15k on the high side. And this was from someone who owns a corvette shop. So I dont know what to think anymore. I was going to have a family member look at the car but he is afraid that he doesnt know enough about corvettes to give me an accurate evaluation.

Perhaps you could have the owner or (better yet) the person who inspected it the first time for you make a video of the vehicle so you can make an informed decision.

I can't. The person I had inspect the car was very rude. Even though he agreed to check it out for me, he acted like I was making him do something he didn't want to. I have seen some digital pictures, but its hard to make his kind of decision with just pictures.

If it's in Moyock it's at the Shop there probably right?? Were you talking to Paul? That group out there believes that they are better than everyone else for some reason... Moyock is quite a ways from VA Beach though.. I almost rode out there yesterday to check with them about a 66 BB hood wish I had known then about your request man.. Dave.

if no one from here is close enough to do it i have another suggestion to try.
contact a local Corvette club or NCRS club in that area and talk to someone who knows the C3's and see if they will look at the car for you. They may charge you a bit for their time but it's worth shelling out $100 or so instead of taking a risk and ending up with a bad car. Usually it won't be that hard to find someone willing to go look at it for you - remember, we all love these cars and love a chance to look at one even if it's for someone else :)

It's at a garage in Coinjock, which is just south of Moyock. I had someone from a corvette shop in Moyock inspect it for me, and feel like it was a waste of time. He really gave me no insight into the condition of the car.

forget a corvette SHOP, find someone from a local club who is willing to go out and look at it for you. usually someone will be willing

Where can I find a list of clubs in the area?

Beach Combers is out of VAB they might be able to help.. Man I wish that I had seen this day before... Dave...
