Jeff who? ;) :L

Jeff,

Can't wait to hear the new clip. Lisa was good to you for Christmas! Why did you go for the Exotic Muscle and not the TPIS?

Yes Edmond, I've been blessed! :D

I chose the EM's over the TPIS for a few reasons.

1)Trevor @ EM is a friend of mine and has explained to me in detail how the EM's flow better than the TPIS. Just a better design all the way around. He says I'll see about a 5hp difference w/ these. His buddy, Jay who has also become a friend, has a '96 CE Stroker (beast from hell) and he has the TPIS (only because the EM's were not available yet) and he too will be switching to the EM's. I'm tellin' ya, owning a C4 in Phx has been great because I have met and befriended two very cool & knowledgeable C4 guys in Trevor @ EM & Bill B. the ZF Doc. Whatever comes up w/ my car, I've got it covered w/ these guys.

2)EM has done other work to my car and therefore Lisa was able to get a great price on the headers. I'm paying for the install.

3)EM will do the install and stand behind their product. They had everything I needed to get it done. Collector pipes, gaskets, bolts, extensions etc... Lisa brought it all home! Xmas rocked!

I'm dropping the car off after work. Can't wait until I get her back!
They say that w/ the Hotcam, longtubes are a great addition in order to take full advantage of the cam. I've been dying to get these on my car. Now she'll breathe like she should.

Cya,
Jeff

BTW...If I haven't mentioned my recent addition of the B&M short throw shifter, let me just say Holy @#$! what a great mod! Hands down the best mod yet! Highly recommended!

Chris,

Sorry about the gloat man. :L

I'm tellin' ya, had I never joined this forum, I probably never would have hooked up w/ these people. Not to mention, my car would still be stock. If you don't want to spend money on your car, DO NOT JOIN A FORUM. It's a total addiction! Every time I read about somebody else's new mod, it wears on me and I eventually gotta have it! Actually, it's a great thing but it's also kinda funny. Being new to Corvettes (never owned one) & new to Phx, joining the CAC has been beyond beneficial.

No matter what your locale, belonging to the CAC puts you right into the thick of what is happenin' in Corvetteland. :)

Later man...:beer

Jeff,

You mean they'll be 5 HP more gain than from the TPIS unit?

BTW, has anyone ever told you that you look like a tougher version of Stone Cold Steve Austin? :L:L:L And Stone Cold is already one tough lookin' dude!:crazy

Edmond,

Trevor @ EM swears by these. He says that EM did alot of R&D/testing on their headers in order to get the best possible flow-rate out of them. He says that 5 or so hp is to be gained by going w/ these over the TPIS. They basically just took the design/s from Stainless Works & TPIS & bettered it. These guys know their C4's. Every time I go there they have at least 4 or more bada$$ C4's that they are workin' on. Trevor is an absolute C4 guru and builds some of the baddest stroker motors that you can imagine. They (EM) have a great reputation amongst members on the "other" forum & EM longtubes seem to be the choice of most.

BTW...Although I take my fitness regimen pretty serious, it's gonna take me a few more years at the gym before I'm in "Stone Cold" territory...I'm the lean/mean version minus the mean! :L

sounds like you'll have a great setup! did you already buy the hotcam? if not you might want to talk to those boys over there at EM about what you want out of the car and not try to match the cam. alot of guys that do the hot cam swap say they wish it had alittle more grunt. either way you should be looking at 360-380 rwhp when your all done after the cam swap :beer

I get my Hooker LT's with high-flo cats, with full custom duel exhaust put on tuesday by Advanced Auto. I already have the Magnaflow mufflers so I'm looking forward to performance and sound of the new system. I'll post some sound clips when I get it all together.

Hotcam has been in the car for awhile. Although I am suffering from the "power addiction", my LT4 is my daily driver so w/ that in mind I think the HC suits my needs pretty well. The icing on this cake will be some 4:10's. I've ridden in a few over-the-top Vettes and although those beasts are a blast to ride in, for daily use, I'm kinda likin' my setup. Civil yet w/ a bite! ;)

Jeff when you put on the long tubes what happens to all your emmisions sensors? Will you get waring lights? and error codes?

Hey Soggy,

I finally got a sound clip of the Power Effects exhaust through stock manifolds on my 93 LT1. Click Here

I video taped my Vette starting and giving it a few revs then saved the audio as an mp3. The quality isn't great but you can hear it okay.

Here's Power Effects website: http://www.powereffects.com/indexmain.html

heya Jeff i didn't know it was in the car.....hehe can EM tune it for you? if so headers/tune would be around 30-40+ rwhp right there. adds alittle extra punch ;)

There are 4 .02's on a LT4. The 2 at the manifolds will transfer to the headers (as the headers have bungs for them) and the other 2 at the cats will be eliminated as I will be running w/o cats. I'm leavin' this one in Trevors hands & he told me there will be no codes.

Hey Mic,
Although I did have the PCM re-tuned (pcmforless....see my sig) for the HC I will have one more re-tune after the headers. EM doesn't have the LT1 edit software yet so I will be taking it to ADS here in Phx. They have all the software for any adjustments I might need. At the same time I will get the car dynoed there as well. Lookin forward to seein' the #'s. Then I think a trip to the track is in order...wish I had those 4:10's though...I think I could really surprise myself . She should still get it pretty good w/ the 3:45's though. Since you're the track guru, I'll have to come to you for some advice when the time's right. Although I can drive the @#$! out of this car, I have never been to the track.
Later,
Jeff
