I have had a fuel pressure problem. It was at about 36psi...but when I stood on the accelerator the pressure went down. After installing a new pump the ping from leaning out on acceleration is gone (hooraaaaay) and hopefully the no start issues are gone too.

The problem is that my presure only went up about 2psi and pulling the vacuum hose off of the regulator doesn't cause the pressure to go up. I am planning to replace the regulator so will be pulling off the throttle body and runners.

How much trouble is it to change the injectors? any tricks? anything to watch out for?

I have a lump at idle and hot start issues....so I am thinking I might as well while I am in there already.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Iwould try repairing the press. reg. first. unless the car is very high milage,do the reg. change the fuel filter and try it!!!! Good Luck!!!! Paul:w

The car has 58k miles. I have an adjustable regulator kit intransit from ZIP and plan to clean the EGR passages and pintle while I'm in there. Also may clean the throttle body too. I hope to be able to get my pressure to about 42-43 psi at idle.

Change the fuel filter first.
