Do you know how the Z06 has been cared for? 4k/km is around 3k miles, correct? Which means if ya go with the Z06 you still have bumper to bumper warranty to have anything corrected *if needed*. I can say this: I've owned the LS3 and now the LS7. I had bought a new '09 Z51 Roadster w/NPP last year (my first Vette). I loved that car. BUT, I had told myself I wanted a "427", at the time did'nt 'feel' as though it was in my budget so I got a loaded Z51 Vert. So what I have to say is this;
It's your money and ONLY YOU know what you want. MY mistake was NOT getting what I wanted in the first place and that was a 427......it cost me MORE money in the end.....buying TWO new cars....don't make my mistake ....get what YOU want the first time if ya can afford it......(I could have the first time, it was my "first" Vette and decided the LS3 was what I wanted, but all along just kidding myself because the 427 is what I've wanted since I looked at one the first time in '08)...If you desire performance then, ya got that w/either engine. Just "how much" performance YOU want and how much YOU wanna pay/afford. I personally would go w/Z06 if ya know about it. It's already taken it's depreciation hit and if owner only drove it 3k miles in 2 years, then, thats a good buy because of deprec. AND it's a 427 still under warranty.....bet there's nothin wrong w/it what so ever. I like the Grand Sport as well. I almost bought one instead of '09 Z51....the coupe has a handbuilt LS3 as well (if ya get the Z52 pkg w/ manuel trans I think it is). Sooo, it's up to you. Do you want a 427???? Or, do you want a 378? BOTH are fine engines. The 427 is faster, but unless you want to track w/the car, that really don't matter, BOTH are fast enough to get you a ticket

. Truely, if it's "racecar mantra" you seek then get Z06. It's the lightest Vette built (even lighter than ZR1) w/best power to weight ratio (followed VERY closely by ZR1-according to brochure). But, if just owning a fast car w/killer looks that's also track ready (and it's a Vette) then get the GS. If wanting to make the best deal money wise, then it's Z06 (this is assuming you know how the car has been cared for and the way it's been driven). Because depreciation already taken the biggest hit (and the Z06 cost nearly $20k more -compared to a coupe GS and Z06 new prices). Soooo....there ya have it.....
It's ALL up to YOU

Good luck and let us know which way you went and post a pic....
