Help! neutral safety switch

Looking for information on the neutral safety switch on my 66 corvette.
Can the switch be adjusted ? If so how ? The problem I'm having is it
will only start in park, not neutral. That's OK but if it stalls while in traffic that's another matter. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The procedure for adjusting the switch is shown in your '66 Assembly Manual, in Section M35, sheet A7. PDF below shows how the switch is attached to the Powerglide shifter assembly.
