New 6-speed kit coming to market!

Hey all you C3.5 guys 'n' gals! I just thought I would share a portion of an email quote I got from Keisler Automotive Engineering regarding an overdrive transmission for my car (a '78). Here goes:

WE HAVE DEVELOPED A 650HP 6-SPEED FOR YOUR CAR
AS A COMPLETE CHANGEOVER, INCLUDING STOCK
APPEARANCE SHIFTER. IT WILL BE ADVERTISED
SHORTLY.

Looks stock with two extra gears to grab? 650 hp handling? Sign me up!I know a lot of people have been looking for such a kit, so I thought this would be of some benefit to someone. Keep the shiny side up!

Did they give you any pricing info ?

They could sell a bunch of them if the price is right. Remember that a majority of c3 are only worth 8- 15 grand,,not exactly what I would spend 5 grand on a transmission for.

If you view the car as a hobby rather than just a car or an investment it is amazing how much money you can justify spending on it.

My guess would be around $4000 or a bit under. Their 5-speed kit currently sells for around $3300. No solid info yet, but it looks intriguing!

Yeah Bob I know what you mean but my wife thinks different. I have two vettes and keep telling her "there investments". Maybe the 75 is(someday) but I dunno about the 94.

She thinks the $2000.00 granite countertop is a investment, I would of used plywood. Looks good I must admit. I guess I need to throw her a bone every now and them.

Well guys I just saw this new 6 speed listed at the local part store. They had a price of just under $3300 on it. I think I'll wait for all of you changing to the 6 speed and get a deal on the 5 speeds being replaced.
