:) Guys I need a new Battery, for my 96 L T 4 I am thinking about an Excide battery. I had one in my 84 and it lasted 8 years. That is battery tender, 6 months every year. Any thoughts? Sears is are not bad. Odyesyy

As long as its a quality battery you can't go wrong, If I got 8 years out of the old one I would not hesitate to get another.

I totally agree ,way to much hype on batteries .

I wouldn't buy anything from Sears as there will be no Sears much longer .

I have an Exide in my C5 for the last 2 years with a tender and no issues, they are good batteries.

Look for a battery in your price range with the highest RC (reserve capacity) rating and the longest FREE replacement warranty, pro-rated warranties are just a worthless marketing gimmick and only mean that you will pay too much for a replacement battery after the original free replacement warranty runs out. Good luck with your choice. :)
