New C4 Owner W/ Tech Questions

I just purchased an EZ Scan 3000 last week and already I'm wondering how I got along without it. They work on all OBD 1 and can be upgraded to OBD11. It gives real time data and is easy to use. I too am an old school guy in a techie world. Found it on Ebay and only cost $80, brand new in the box with all the cables.

What is this EZ Scan 3000, :confused is it some type of a trouble shooter hand held computer?

It is a scan tool that you plug into the aldl and it reads everything your motor is doing. There are a few posts that will tell you more if you search EZ scan 3000.

Thanks Guys for all the info. I will pick up a FSM later this weekend off e-bay. I'll also look for the scan300 mentioned earlier. I also will need to pick up a fuel pressure guage. I have some metric sockets and wrenches and I picked up a set of torx bits last week.
Now where do I find the metric left handed phillips screwdrivers?

Sears has them they are right next to the left hand pipe wrenches

I picked one of them up and they do work great!

Fired the C-5 up today, never got it on the road becasue I still have it on storeage insurance, e-mail my agent to put it back on full coverage, spring has sprung for sure now!

Other than what you already own, you need a digital multimeter (DMM) whch has input impeadance of at least 10 meg ohm.

You need the Factory Service Manual.

You need a scan tester which supports 1989.

Enjoy your C4.

Make sure you get both parts of the FSM.
