Hi

As you have already guessed from my signature that l live in New Jersey approx 45miles from NYC near the shore.

My problem is that l want to order the cross frame bars for my 96LT1, but l cannot find anyone to do it for me.

I will bring it up at my next corvette meeting next wed to see if anyone can steer me in the right direction.

Did you ever consider it, it is supposed to change the ride to almost feel as solid as a C5.

Thanks

Alan

p.s. Where is everybody??

R-D Racing

We are in contact with each other via e-mail, and as of today, l was awaiting his response to, if he shipped it into the New Jersey area,so that l can contact the person who bought it, to find out who installed it.

Alan, Dave's a heck of a nice guy. Give him a call and talk to him personally. Tell him I sent you and maybe he'll cut you some slack on shipping. ;)

Thanks Ken

I will call him tomorrow and try and work something out. The biggest problem is installing the cross bar. In my area the independent mechanic is a dyeing breed and the one's that are around think their doctor's.

The Cross Bar is a piece o' cake to install; the Camber Brace is a different story. ;)

Ken,
What is the hard part about installing the Camber Brace? I had Dave send me the install instructions so I could see how much of a pain. Near as I can tell the biggest hassle appears to be shoe-horning that puppy into the engine bay. Anything else?

It is not that it is actually harder to install, it's just that under the hood it's a little dirtier and you have a few more things in the way. It's just awkward, not hard. ;)

The Camber Brace is pretty simple to put in, just a little time consuming. The Cross Frame, isn't to bad to put in, I was looking at one in Dave's shop, if you can get the car on stands and drill a hole, you should have no problem installing it. I plan on getting one as soon as I get the funds together. Tell Dave I sent you also and cut ya break on shipping. :beer
