Welcome to the CAC Z28ImpalaSS.

How about some pictures?

Here's a few pics that my daughter took of the vette the day we brought it home.:)

I've always liked the 2-toned paint and the Silver/Blue combo is gorgeous!

Jane Ann, you are so absolutely correct!

Now help me out. The General did two-tones on the C3s and C4s. No two-tones on C5s or c6s. What gives? What do you think? ;shrug

IMO, the 2-tone paint works for the C3's, I'm not so crazy about it on the C4's though. Wasnt it was only the early C4's that were avaliable in 2-tone paint anyway?

As for 2-tone paint on C5's or c6's? I do not think the lines of the car would work very well with 2-tone paint.

:w Troy,

Mighty nice looking L81 ;) of course I've been accused of being a bit biased :chuckle

I see your ride has the GoodYear Eagle GT Radials on it :eek just thought you might like to know ... Those are worth their weight in "GOLD". You don't see many around anymore with the Original GoodYears on them ;)

If you aren't real well versed on NCRS (National Corvette Restorer Soicety) may I suggest you find a member close to were you live, and have them take a look at your car, IT May be one that is worth going for the Documentation :dance.

I considered have Rare NCRS but living in California at the time, it was a whole lot of trouble getting anyone in NCRS interested in looking at her.

Beautiful 1981 you have there Troy, may you have many memoriable years in the saddle :dance Enjoy the :Steer

I'd have to agree with Jason.

Looks great on the C3's but I can't envision the breakpoint on a C5 or C6. Not one that would show off the lines of the car anyway.

Troy, welcome to the CAC and congrats on your 81.
I absolutely love your avatar. Did you do it yourself? That's a fantastic angle.

Thanks for the welcome. Wow , you guys really know how to greet new members. It's great!
The day we picked up the car I told my daughter to take as many pics as she wanted. She has a knack for getting great pics, a knack that I completely lack. LOL
