I read an article in "Magazine Corvette" by a panel of auto experts and the conclusion was that Chevy did a poor job on the C6 front bumper and not to worry because it is the cheapest thing to change on car.

I also read a thread on another Forum regarding the design studio working on a new fix because of the poorly designed license plate holder.

The question is if anybody heard anything further. I just sold my C4 with the intentions of buying a C6 but couldn't live with the front bumper so l bought a C5.

Most of my friends feel the same way and the ones that bought the C^ are driving with only one plate. New Jersey needs two plates.

Some dealers drill the holes when the vettes come in and then mount the cheap plastic license holder when the car is picked up.

I haven't heard anything but applaud any attempt to rectify the current frt license plate issue since Texas requires 2 as well.
I just drilled 4 holes in the frt bumper of the SS and I didn't like that one bit!
Hopefull the politicians will get around to this issue here in '06.

The timing is the question

They are going to do something but when is the million dollar question. Lets face it they blew it yet look how many C6's they sold to date. It almost seems that they can do anything they want but they have admitted that the plastic ront license plate holder was a last minute thing and they blew it.

There is going to be an aftermarket maker that will correct it first.

In my business we deal in technology as well (Sleep Number Beds). I find that when something is such an overwhelming error like the front bumper of the c6 or a gusseted pillowtop, often times a strong business will swallow pride and commit to the fix. In some businesses they would even call it an upgraded version.

The front end looks great to me. You guys that need a front plate are on your own - it isn't the bumper, it's the plate and holder.:ugh

Industry insiders say it must go !!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be a cheap change and the biggest complaint is that it looks like a Camaro, or E.T.'s face or like some other car they mentioned.

I really have no complaint except for the license plate bracket being butt ugly but again the nose is not exciting.

Don't be concerned because it is going to be changed and a new skin from the aftermarket will cost approx $500 for the skin. Then you have to paint it.

My wife still likes the C5 the best, so do l but everything else about the C6 rocks and makes my C5 feel like a Yugo !!!!!!
