The first bunch of mounting plates have been completed by my shop, I picked them up yesterday. I expect Shipping material today. If it comes, I will ship those who have ordered this Friday, if not it will be next Monday. Also if anyone has interest in having an alternate way to mount the front plate, drop me an email at: shopman1@hotmail.com.

I will email you the data on the plate.

that looks just about 10000 times better than the GM plate holder. good work.

That is a much better solution...

can you give details so I can spread the word throughout the net for all the guys with C6's....

Thanks in advance....

Looking good!

More Information on the Front Replacement Bracket!!

I have started production and will be able to ship now.
How to Attach:
I attached mine using Velcro however you can use double back tape or screws. The bracket has pre-drilled holes for mounting and a direction sheet will come with it. It has rubber moldings behind the bracket so that it does not touch or rub any surface. It attached behind the lower bumper and you can't see any mount points.

Thanks for the photos..

I think you have a winner on your hands..

How much are you selling this for?

I don't have a C6 but I live in NJ like you and there are going to be a ton of guys who would benefit the ability to order your license plate bracket..

Just shooting the breeze on an early sunday morning..

Congrats and spread the word on this so other guys don't put on the stock solution...

The C6 is way to good looking for the stock solution..

IMHO..

Picked up my coupe on Thursday, and installed your bracket yesterday. Fits well and looks good. Installed a sleeve around the center grill tooth to correct a slight rocking movement . Used velcro as you did, so i can remove it easily when i want to. Thanks for your effort.

Thanks Shopman.

I put some pics of my alternate front plate installation on a website.

It is an interesting design and quality construction. I also used "Industrial Strength" Velcro on both the vertical and horizontal wing surfaces as I really couldn't figure out how to get screws in there. I'll keep an eye on it, but I think the Velcro will work fine.

The webpage is:

Nice Pictures man, I moved them to my folder and hope its OK if I use them, your pictures are better than mine! Once you have used the Velco and put the brackit in its position you need to jack the C6 up, get under the front and drill 3/32 pilot hole through the holes provided in the bracket into the virtical part of the plate, they put the screws included in those holes, it will be very stable.
Thanks,

Glad you can use the pics.

Also, I did figure out that I have to get under the car and get a couple of screws in there. My ramps and jack stands are in storage as we're living in an apartment while building a new house. Hopefully in a couple of months I'll have access to my tools.

Also, since you seem full of good ideas, I have a call in for John at PoronUSA about getting the Micro 3S sensor setup you mentioned in another post. I'm curious to know how you mounted the transmitter/receiver to the license plate bracket. Also, you say that you spliced the hot lead into the running light on the passenger side. I assume you mounted the little processor unit in the engine compartment. Where did you find it easiest to run the speaker wire through the firewall?

Thanks for your help.

C6 Optional License Plate Bracket Update

Several have the optional lower license plate bracket now and it is doing the job. This is a close up of the installation:

Now that I have your great bracket, where do I get a DSOM rim for the bracket ? Any ideas would be appreciated. I purchased a rear bracket in my color from Corvette Central (for 68 bucks) but no luck with the front.

Nice, maybe GM should put you on as an engineer for "Corvette" Hurry up and patent your design before MidAmerica!!!

I mounted the recever by drilling 2 small holes in the plate and put a few nuts and bolts to hold it on.
I put the processer to the left of the batery with velcro. I fished the wire through the passanger side fender and into the cabon down through the kick plate, (took if off) under the rocker pannel, it also pops off, under the run over to in back of the driver side and used velcro to hold the speaker on or near the post in back of the driver side head rest. I have never seen a fire wall that you could not find a hole in, the C6 is tight man. Use a coat hanger to fish the speeker wire through the open door to the fender. You need to take the passanger side front iner fender apart. Unclip the harnice that goes to the lites. Find the brown wire, that would be the running light wire and you need to patch into it. That is man. Not that simple however you can do it, and I did help! hahaha sounds like Home Depo huh.

How do you get the old adhesive attached license plate holder off? Is it easy to brute force it, or will that take some of the paint off with it?
