2003 50th ann. convert. 74 red coup, 325 hp
I recently joined the action center and have really enjoyed it especially the tech forums. I have a red 74 coupe and have just aquired a red 95 coupe. Not sure if I am going to keep my 74. I am a small [by todays standards] farmer and I have quite a few engines and things with tires to take care of so I am not sure if I can handle another addition. I live on a gravel road about one eighth of a mile from a hard surface highway just far enough to mess up a red car and all corvette owners know what that is like. I am considering installing a set of slash guards, I don't like them but I also don't like rock chips very much either. I was lucky finding the 95. It has a 22,500 miles on it and it is in great condition. I will probably need another set of tires on it within the next year. I am not a big fan of the oem run flat Goodyears that are on it now. The 74 is kind of a hot rod.It looks pretty good from 30 feet away, but it has a few issues. I hear everyone talk about nos. matching cars but there are no numbers that match on this old girl, but gosh it does go down the road in a big hurry and you can hear it coming about a mile away, Jones mufflers and flowmaster headers.

Well, welcome to CAC. We're glad you chose us. As shooter has said, post up pics of your ride. :cool!:

Welcome to our spot, myspot!

I'm a soft touch for those red Vettes!! :thumb

If you're a farmer, even on a smaller scale, then you're not afraid of hard work and you're likely an eternal optimist! Glad you joined us!

I have about 600 feet of gravel drive too, but I keep the dust to a minimum by keeping a good, heavy load of gravel on it and drive slower during dry weather.

Enjoy your new C4 and the forums!

I'm looking at a place now with 17 acres and 1800 foot gravel drive way and maybe the big thing holding me up, may even be a deal breaker, trying now to get a quote to pave it, never had to deal with gravel and not sure I want to start now :ugh I hear peanut oil or calcium cholride will take care of the dust, anyone hear that :confused Just love this place but not the gravel ;shrug
