OK, the 2nd time I drove my car the check engine light came on, did some checking and found out how to get the codes. Only C code was a P0161 so after checking I replaced that O2 sensor. Drove the car today for over a hundred miles. Shut it off at least 3 times during the day. The check engine light is still on, but all the codes now show H.

Do I have to reset it somehow or is something else up?

It takes two successful ignition cycles before the CEL will go out from a P0161 event. It's also possible to have a transitory issue that you can never catch in the "C" state.

A bad O2 sensor is not the only cause for a failure. You could also have an air leak at or upstream of the sensor. Here is the service manual t/s procedure for that code on your 2002.

GL!

Did you clear the code before driving? If not clear the code through the dic reset button, drive the vehicle and see if the code comes back.
