Everyone is a skeptic , myself included. I had a 2hr conversation last night and sent him the link to this topic. I am positive at the very least its a supernatural car. Its the twin turbo part that gets hairy. Anyway perhaps Mr Peter could explain 1989's #10 car and what that means.

Just4boost if you are looking for a car I would stay away from an 88 as you were inquiring about in the other thread. The car 89X2 has for sale is quite the car it is a six speed car that was converted to an automatic I am sure he will include the six speed set up for an easy conversion back to a 6 speed That car by far is the best bang for the buck. If you plan on building a car and having it done by the Callaway folks it would be done right but it will also cost you . If you look at what the options that car has wonderbar Cost with install over 3k now coilover almost 4k installed take into consideration oyou have the Callaway motor sitting in a crate you can not go wrong. The car has a stroked lingenfelter motor that is all worked up. So if you are looking for a very fast car the 89 tt that 89X2 has is the best by far. You can not build up an 88 for the price of that car and you have a tranny that is going to go because it will not handle the power. I you are going to buy the Lt tt for 60k I would sell you mine for that price .

Well I am just as skeptical as the next guy. So monday will tell all without any question. But based on the original owner , the currents owners relationship with the 1st owner and docs I recieved it may be a winner. One thing thats interesting is the legal disclaimer that came with the car. Stating essentially that its a off road use vehicle. I wont go into specifics but I suspect that this is a telling factor.

Thanks for the info but I have no interest in a auto tranny car , nor swapping back to a 6spd that seems just silly IMO . Moreover I was looking for a factory 6spd car. I like the 90 because its got the newer dash and the 91 for the LT1 style body work. 89 Car is just not my cup of tea. I have no intention on doing alot of mods. I have some other cars I enjoy that are much faster than the CTTC. But I want it for its originality and value. As for the LT1 tt car I think all here would agree that if this car was real. Then it would be rather unique compared to other Callaway TT cars. Also the disclaimer was about emissions was issued on the ZR1 TT cars as well. Confirmed that thru a well known auction house. Thats a sign of the potential of that car , I drilled this guy last night , I made him read this thread and he's standing strong. I explained I would not be pleased to learn he has sent on a wild goose chase. 1 more day and I will know it all !!!

I know the 94 zr1tt was out of ny but did not here of it selling .Barry was the owner. Car had a set of RW's on it . All the zr1 tt's are for off road use .

No Mr for me, just Peter ;)
89 #010 was a normal TT but send back to Callaway for a update. His update went so far that it also went with no garantee and it's a one of a kind. The list goes on and on for this car thats why it came into my mind. But #010 is a very well known Callaway (i think) so maybe Callaway did some more private conversions?

Groeten Peter.

The owner finally read the thread and is now changing his story somewhat. States that the car is in fact a Callaway Supernatural , while overseas they wrecked a older TT car and tryed to retrofit the system to the LT1 car. It didnt work well and they blew the motor. It was sent back to Callaway were in he took great offensive to having his car messed with. He agreed to ( and charged them dearly I might add ) fix the car and make it work. The release was his way of covering his ass in case it came stateside again. Since being in the US (about 2yrs now) it has not been driven only started from time to time. I am done with this car and just really ****ed off I wasted my efforts on the car at all. I told him he could keep the car. So break out the I told you so's I have my flame suit on. I guess technically its a Callaway TT but its really not if ya know what I mean.

Is the zr1TT for sale and what is he asking for it .

Update

Does anyone have proof of Callaway twin turbos built on 1992-1996 LT1 or ZR1 Vettes. My guy has located a owner in Florida with a 1994 Twin turbo ZR1 and a 1993 LT1 Twin Turbo with a low compression Supernatural motor. Owner is adimant that these are factory built Callways , not aftermarket hack jobs. Owner also owns some very odd but factory built cars. For instance a Ferrari 456 shooting brake or station wagon , a twin supercharged Aston Martin V8 Vantage and a Porsche 993 Slope Nose Twin Turbo coupe. Apparently all factory built cars. My understanding is that the Ferrari & Aston were built to US specs for the Sultan of Brunei. Someone please tell me if any of this makes sense. I looking around online for more info , help please !!!

JUST4BOOST.... no need to wear a flame suit, this is generally a very well behaved bunch of Callaway Enthusiasts.

I am curious about the story of the car though. I have heard of the collection of the Sultan of Brunai online, in print, as well as on TV. However, the fact that the car is in Florida is what makes me even more curious. For he heck of it, and despite your being yanked around a bit, if you could arrange for one of us to see this illusive and mysterious Callaway, I'm sure that either myself or SurfNSun might be able to check it out depending on what part of the state it is located in. Though I am quite swampped between work, holiday shopping/preparations, and trying to restore some of my landscape damaged by Hurricane Wilma, I'd like to see and get some pics of this thing.

Thanks for participating on a great Forum.

Happy Holidays!

Like Luigi said, no flame suit needed. Everyone here would kill to find a TT Supernatural built by Callaway. Bummer but at least you found out before making the big purchase. You'll find the right one just keep looking :)

So you mean Callaway fixed it such that it was still a SuperNatural and also twin-turboed? Or it's just a SuperNatural now?

I agree, let us know. Perhaps Luigi and I could go see it together if its down south....I can cover central to north also, but the panhandle is a bit far.
