Any news on the intakes?;shrug

I heard that the CNC software was developed in England where due to the volcano in Iceland it was sent by courier who was making his way across Europe via hot air balloon. There are rumors he may have landed in India where he was making his way via elephant after rescuing a lovely Indian princess. He is expected to board a steamship in the pacific and steam to San Francisco when with luck he will be at DCS within another 80 days....provided his train doesnt break down or he is attacked by Native Americans(or stops at one of their casinos) :chuckle

Will someone with a "delivered" unit please take pictures, install and get the test done already???

Why don't you use google or better yet, go on the crossfire injection forum and see the pictures of a guy by the name of worms713 or something like that, he has his with pictures and installed and he is driving it now and he says it is great.:thumb He is going to set his tb's and hit the dyno.

Put that in your archives.:beer

It should be in the C3 section. I'm not a member there i just have that page bookmarked to see what an old friend is up to.

Okay, I already know about that one. He got #3 of the 3 pre-production castings that were produced last month. The production castings are being cast at this time at the rate of 1-2 per day, but they won't start being released for at least another couple of weeks. DCS is trying their best to speed things up but they're at the total mercy of the foundry.

YES! The production units are being CNC'd...Geeez. Read the posts that are related and you won't have to guess what we are doing. All those units are pre-productions, NOT the final production units and they are ALL fine and I'm running one of them on my motor PP001. PP002 went to Super Chevy magazine a week ago for a Camaro project we are doing with them. Everything in due time.

As a matter of fact, our machinst is AWESOME and can do anything we want on any of the machines he has. He runs circles around guys with his Bridgeport that only know CNC machines, he is a true machinist and we trust his abilities and knowledge with anything.

Like mentioned, PP003 is on another motor (stock) and running fine as of yesterday when I was over to his house to see how he was doing. The owner loves it, but I don't think he is going to dyno it again since he already did that with the prototype unit and was very pleased with the power. In his words yesterday..."It runs like the wind". That may be a slight exaggeration in my book, but he likes it now the less. and thats all that matters.

Is there any more info you can tell us? But you are saying the production units are being cnc'd? Do you mean right now or they are going to be cnc'd?

I would think he's saying the entire exterior is going to be CNC machined and the last several inches of the insides of the runners.

I was just wondering if some are being cnc'd right now?

Thanks for the link:eyerole And yet another "seat of the pants" testimonial!

I REALLY hope this thing works well with a decent torque curve when we FINALLY see the test results....whenever that might be.....but wont the results of Worms dyno be a bad comparison since he's already modified his car? I'm not sure if he did even a baseline with his mods before adding the Renegade ....

BUT the Renegade sure is PRETTY....VERY nice...Eye testimonial....looks faster :p!!!

The endless "are we there yet" is like a bunch of kids and also Reminds me of the watched pot never boiling....let them get them done in their own time...a few days more isnt going to kill you!

If you call spark plugs and wires mod's..... Other than that it is bone stock but with more miles.

yes - with a couple tweaks.

My '82 has a 5/16" stud right behind the right throttle body to mount the EGR switch on. A recent picture of Renegade #0003 mounted on the engine showed that stud wasn't there. Will the production Renegades have that 5/16" stud? If not, then how are we supposed to mount our EGR switch? And we be able to remove the lid with the throttle bodies still mounted on it, or will we have to remove the throttle bodies first before removing the lid?

It's a great looking chunk of aluminum! I hope it works too.:thumb
