Like to move to intake manifold for Y2K, auto - are all aftermarket '06 manifolds much the same? SlP and LAPD each have one and they are $100 apart in price!! Any info or comparisons floating around - know of the stock GM, but I guess it is even more pricey and you the screws, etc separate!! - Thanks again for all folks do!!

SLP's kit comes complete for $399.00.

GM's kit is appx.$500.00 unless you have an in with parts. You will also need the front coolant pipe and two rear block off plates, both have gaskets included. appx. $30.00

The difference between the two is the warranty. GM's is longer lasting.

I did this swap myself on my '00 convertible.

To my knowledge, there are currently only two generally available LS6 manifolds out there (there is one other really custom welded job -- that's why said "generally"): the GM OEM version and the Holley.

If they are selling a manifold in the range you mention, it is probably the OEM LS6 version. Doesn't matter where you buy it, except, as you've noticed, the price. Also, be sure they include the two pipes/lines you will need for the conversion. If not,add about another $25.00 for those.

What??

Try $529 plus 23.34 shipping. You must be talking about there air intake systems. This post is about a ls6 manifold.

Irish Whiskey :

I believe that there are only 2 widely distributed LS6 type intake manifolds - Holly & GM

I put a GM ZO6 intake manifold, a Vararam air intake, took out the MAF screen, and I could really tell the difference ... that took care of the intake -

I then addressed the output by adding a Corsa Pace Car Exhaust System, added the Corsa "X" Pipe and last I put on a set of "Belanger" Long Tube Headers on my '00 A4 - man what a difference... it's like a new vette ..

Eric, I know what this post is about:

Part #88894339

$350. That's what I paid for mine. With the tubing. Feel free to speak with Nate.

If that price doesn't satisfy, try
www.gmpartsdirect.com

$369.60

You overpaid. Sorry.

That's a good price - better than what I paid ...

Thank you Don. www.xmotorsports offers some of the best pricing around, on all C5 accessories and parts, including hoods. Nate Caro has been in the C5 after market parts industry a long time.

Of course there is always Fichtner as well. ;)
