I finally found a trunk divider/partition for my '03 vert after seeing them only for the Z06 forever!

I am looking at buying one but before I spent the money I wanted to see if I could get some feedback from any other vert owners that may have already installed one and have they been a benefit.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I bought one from a member on that "other" forum, his name was CRAZYC5COWBOY. It was made very well of 1/8 molded plastic and covered with black carpet. It cost aprox. $130.00.

The improvments to sound isolation/air conditioning efficientcy was minimal but noticable .

I would probably appreciate the improvment more if I would have fabricated one myself at a much lower cost. But not having the proper materials was prohibitive.

Good luck in your quest,

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.

I saw that version and also one made of 3/4 inch MDF which I think may have better sound deadening quality.

I'm probably going to go with that version since most of the Z06 partitions I've seen positive feedback on are made from MDF.

Thanks again!

Friscovette,
Welcome to the CAC, and good luck.

There's another partition thread going here, but it is about FRC/Z06's. Possibly some useful info there though.

Thanks a lot! Didn't see the other thread.

The company I decided to go with is vettepartitions.com which is actually the one referenced in the other thread :)

I feel even better about the choice now.

I'm really glad I joined this forum!

I'll let everyoine know how it goes once I receive it.

Thanks again.

Let us know how well it works because I'm also looking to get something.

Thanks,:w
My partition came yesterday and I am very pleased! great fit and an almost perfect match with my interior. It really helps cut down the noise with the top up. Slides in as advertised and is very sturdy. If you were looking for one, I don't think you'll be disappointed... I wasn't! :beer
