Howdy fellow Corvette folks!
I am not new to Vettes but I'm new to this Forum activity; and I like it.
My first Corvette was a 61 that I built up out of 2 wrecked 61s. Yep, I worked in a body shop while I was in college so I had access to all the equipment needed to join the front half of a Corvette that was hit in the rear, to the back half of another Corvette that was hit in the front.
Thanks to many of the old guys in the shop I ended up with a glossy RED 61 with 2 4-barrels and a 4-speed. What a chick magnet. Never forget that one.
Then a 64 327 4-speed convertible, then a brand new 68 327/350 HP 4-speed coupe, then a 75 L-82, then a 78 Pace Car clone, Then an 86L Coupe, and now an 87 Convertible.
I've never had more than 1 Vette at a time, but if I could have any of my old cars back, it would be----------------the 68 327!

My 87 Convertible is customized and modified to one-of-a-kind.
New Paint/body work that shines better than new, Nassau Blue with GS white stripes, GS blue on the nose blended in with ghost flames and scollops across the hood and fenders. The ghost flames are very subtle flip-flop pearl blue/aqua and change colors with different lighting. My cousin Keith painted it in his street rod shop.

Chrome ZR-1 17" wheels with BFG G-Force Sport tires
New Blue Leather interior and carpets, still restoring door panels
New Hartz blue fabric top
Hellavision, 55w fogs, bronze headlight motor gears
Lots more upgrades/replacements

Now for the go fast:
Crane roller cam kit slightly more HP than stock
Hypertech chip
bead-blasted porting on heads, plenum, runners
Accel ignition parts
K&N air filter
Polished throttle body
Air Pump Eliminator Kit, and disabled EGR blocked off
Mid America Dual Chambered Exhaust system: (this provided the biggest kickof all!)
Full synthetic Red Line auto trans fluid and Differential lube
Syntec 10-30 oil, K&N oil filters.

Problems:
vacuum leaks all over, but I,m on it.
interior lights dont come on
Door mounted hatch release buttons dont work
Intermittent Tach

My wife laughs as she says it's too loud! But we love it.

How long can these posts be?? I must be out of space by now

Happy cruising
