i have a 96 lt4 collectors edition. i have a re ocurring problem. the check engine light comes on after a couple of driving cycles while cruising on the highway. i checked the plug wires and found two were damaged so i replaced all the wires and plugs. i also noticed that coolant was leaking from the water pump onto the distributer. so i replaced the pump and the distributer. i also replaced the ignition coil and ignition module while i was at it. the light still comes on. i then replaced the crank sensor and all four oxygen sensors. the light still comes on during my second consecutive highway cruise. the car pulls strong and has even dynoed 307 rwhp relitivly stock. the idle is ok with an occasional shudder but i had a 93 z-28 lt1 car that did that too. any help or advice would be appreciated. also the trans in neutral with my foot off the clutch whurs. as it heats up the noise dies down a little but doesn't go completly away, also downshifts into 1st and 2nd gear are noisy(sounds like sirens from a cop car winding down) while the trans is cold, they go away once it warms up. it shifts fine other than these noises. are thy normal? i heard that the zf can be a bit noisy. and from what i read here in the forum it sounds normal, i just want to confirm this.
