Look what I did today:

Got everything taken apart. It was pretty easy and straightforward taking everything apart.

Did some reading on the demon key and decided that I would exorcise the demon key:

And this is the end result:

Yep, even had time to go get some Sonic (strawberry fruit slushy) after I got everything taken apart and decided that I wasn't even going to mess with the demon key.

Took me about 1.5 from start to finish with the Sonic trip and going out to grab a hacksaw.

Shifts very smooth. The shift from 2-3 and 3-4 is incredible. Just drove it briefly, will have to get used to 4-5 and 5-6. You don't have to "find" the next gear anymore. I love the centering and how it centers itself from 2-3 so you don't miss 3rd.

The MGW came with an installation CD with big pictures, the ball on the bottom of the shifter was already greased, new bolts, new gasket and even the hex keys. I bought a race knob as well, the knob threads were greased already. I just reused the old bolts because I'm going to be dropping the trans in a couple of weeks and the shifter is going to have to come out again anyway.

I'm might look into a better looking shift boot because the stock one looks like a midget now!

Good job Edmond!!! I remember the huge difference when I installed the Hurst, same kind of change 2-3!!!
Good luck with the future mods...:thumb

These are just sitting in the living room:

They will be installed in about 2 weeks.

Also have an RPM Level IV trans to replace the piece of crap T-56 trans.

Also got an LS7 clutch ready to go in as well. Figured that since I'm dropping the trans, may as well change the clutch since I don't want to do it later down the line.

New plugs, wires and a 1-4 skip shift eliminator are going in as well.

Yes - I spoke with LG last year, plans are to run down later this spring and have them install a set of pros, new corsa extremes and tune the LS6. :thumb

looking good maybe do a db check on old exhaust to the new piping or a video???

Yes, I am planning on taking video before and after. But I need to get a camcorder first. :L

D.,

I had priced them for some stuff but their labor charge was out of my budget. I'm eager to hear how the Ti exhaust sounds with the headers. They're the LG Pro's, I believe they're made by Borla, IIRC.

I'm getting a tune as well but just a mail order one. Found a place that does them for $150 with a quick turnaround.
