Question: New Murray A/C Comp makes roaring noise like a truck fan

Howdy folks,
My ac comp on my '04 with 129K miles started making noise recently so I decided to get it replaced before I trashed the whole system.

Didn't have time or space to do it myself so I hired a shop to replace it. He used the Murray brand compressor and orifice/dryer etc....

It now makes a roaring sound as I accelerate the motor very similar to an old truck with a clutch fan. If I turn off the a/c and rev it - no roar. I'm positive its coming from the compressor. Been installed about 3 weeks, I haven't asked the tech about it yet.

Is this typical results for a Murray Compressor?
I have a 1 year warranty on the system but it IS working. Doesn't cool at idle as good as it used to though.

Just wondered if anyone else has any experience with the Murray brand?

I can't imagine why it would "roar". Doesn't sound right to me. I'd take it back and ask about it.
