Hi all - I am the proud new owner of of a 1981 two tone Silver/Blue. Got a great deal, the car has basically been under a cover for 20 years but seems sitting still with infrequent starts has led to a few problems. Love the car and will soon post some pics but I had a few questions I was hoping some of you may be able to answer:
1. Airconditioning has been changed out to the new refrigerant. It runs for about 5 minutes then shuts down. Possibly related issues...
- Idle's at about 900 RPM with air on, drops down to near stall when off.
- Switches don't seem to work well, have to put fan switch to high to get air to work in the first place.
2. Idle is very low 500 RPM or lower, when air is off. Has stalled a few times. I've used Gumout in the carb but maybe not enough. Has new plugs. Suggestions?
