New Pumpkin!

Everything is done and I like the gear set. Nice and quiet and very smooth. Goin' for a little hiway drive tonite with the top down. Can't wait. That new 400 likes to run!

some rear end rebuilders recommend taking it easy on the posi unit for a couple hundred miles till it breaks in a bit...............

glad you like your gear choice

Don't recall if you have a new ring & pinion set or not - if you do, they should have given you initial break-in instructions; fresh new gears need gentle treatment for the first 50-100 miles, with no extended highway speeds (heat), hard launches, or heavy acceleration. I drain and refill after the first 100 miles too, to get rid of the Posi plate "fuzz" and tiny metal particles from the break-in.

Thanks John, I wondered if I should do an oil change. New cars don't often get a diff oil change when new even back then??? Used gears. Quiet as can be.

Good deal. The posi plate "fuzz" will be ok then....... :)
