New throttle body?

What difference would a larger throttle body make on a 94 LT-1 with Hooker headers K-N Filter and in process of getting new 2.5 in exhaust pipes hi flow cats and new mufflers? What size/type is recommended and what would be a good price range?

With my mods, I realized 10HP gain going to 52mm on the dyno. Some question the worth but make them back it up with a dyno sheet. I had Koldos on corvetteforum modify mine. I don't think the airfoil did anything.

Then, I know of one guy who spent $3k on 'improvements' only to lose power.

I got excellent help by calling BBK directly. BTW, their TB is shaped similarly to the airfoil. i would ask about torque gains, if any, which I would expect only at high RPM and about torque loss, due to slower airflow, at low RPM.

By "modify" do you mean that your original TB was bored out?

One of the next things I'm going to do with my car is a bigger TB and the 28# or bigger injectors.

My father works for GM, and he used to work on the throttle bodies for these cars(up till 1996). I've been told that the horsepower gain from the stock 48mm throttle body to a 52mm is approximately 8hp. and the hp gain between the 52mm and the 58mm is only about 1hp. so, I'll let you decide how much money your willing to spend for about 9hp. personally I wouldn't change it unless the one thats in there now is shot and you need to buy a new one anyway.
