New Top?

the glass on my convertible top has completely seperated from the fabric on the bottom edge. its only a matter of time before it works its way up and around the rest of the window. i brought it to my corvette guy and he says he's fixed them before but they always come because it never stays. the top is not in the greatest shape on the outside and a replacement would really make the car look so much nicer. my question is; is it a hard job to do and should i get a plastic window top so this does not happen again. any feedback is welcomed.

I'm certainly no expert on glass separating from the convertible top fabric...but there's no way I would go to a plastic window!! I've had convertibles with plastic windows and now have convertibles with glass windows, and there's no comparison! Don't even think of plastic!!
