1993 Torch red coupe
YUP i just bought a 93 Torch red with black interior. She has cloth non electric base seats and an auto tranny.

I am still working out the bugs of getting in and out of our driveway and the city doesnt seem to want to help. I think Ive got it figured out by using some steel plates between the sidewalk and the street. The approach angle is just too steep. We've always had 4 x 4 s so the driveway approach was not an issue before. I do have a couple of questions though....

What is a recommended vendor for replacement Keyless entry remotes and brand of touch up paints for door jambs and lower rocker panels

Welcome to the CAC, great choice in color. You can get touch up paint at a Chevy dealer if they carry it, but you need the VIN number. You could also try some of the vendors that sponsor the CAC such as Mid America Motor Works, Ecklers, Zip, Corvette Central, Corvette America, etc; their catalogues are on line. As for the keyless entry fob, there are two, one for the coupe and a different one for the convertible; the difference is that the coupe has a rear lid release. I purchased a spare on E-Bay for $90 new and it worked fine. I am sure that other CACers will give you more leads. If you purchase one from the dealer, I believe they cost around $180.

Welcome to the :CAC CROOZ1N!! And congrats on your new Vette.

In case you haven't found it yet, here's a link to the index page for the '93 section in the Model Center: Click

Loads of good info there, as well as photos.

I don't have anything to add to Barrett's suggestions. It sounds like he just about covered it.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome.
I ve got much to learn. I just decided to get a vette like 2 weeks ago. We had one FSBO in our neighbor hood that was an 89 and had wood accentson the console . It looked as if they left the top off and it got wet inside. Or i guess it could have been from the sun. Anyway That vet got me thinkin and before i could go back and look at it ,it was gone. So I said to the missus...... Whatdaya think about getting an older Vette? Well she jumped at it and so 2 weeks later here I are.. I really had decided to look for a Green with saddle interior or a yellow/black. But she saw the add for this one in the paper and once she saw it up close that was it.
When I met her she had a 67 camero so shes a died in the wool chevy fan. Of course y first car was a 65 Chevy II SS. And we had a 67 mustang in the course of time as well. I just thought the Vette would be nice to play with on the weekends.
Now to Get a bit more Grumble out of her.....

Congratulations on your new Vette. Has the smile on your face started to become permanent yet? Be sure to share the wave. Enjoy.
