New Weather Strip Questions>

It all sounds good except using the black adhesive.I suggest the clear incase yopu get some where you dont want it.It can be a messy job so the clear wont show your goofs.Im not trying to brag but trust me I have put countless pieces of ws on and the clear is the best way.:beer

Clear Adhesive?

Dose the Clear perform as well as the Black? I would consider that for sure.
Thanks.

I've got almost 1k ear marked for Doc Rebuild. It may be hype it may be silly but hey if what he claims is true....

We faithfully reproduced them from factory blueprints. Blem Products research was to simply try and copy other reproductions. We even intentionally produced a few totally phony air dams for them. In line with their phony research, they even copied those too. Blem Products would not recognize research: "IF THEY STEPPED IN IT, GOT IT ON THEIR SHOE AND IT STUNK LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT" - and you can quote me on this. AVOID WRINKLED PSA They also screwed up on the GM specified SAE grades of rubber, because they never had any blueprints. At cruises and Corvette shows, I have seen the improper grade items. They are easily detected by the large air cells visible in the rubber. Look at any of your originals and you will hardle see the air cells in the rubber.

.... it wont be my last order.

Thanks for the info.....let me know when you install it if you have to do any window adjustments and how the seal is on the rear of the door windows.....

New Rubber Installed

Did my T-Tops, pillar post, and Door Glass rear...turned out GREAT. And it's weather tight.
PS. used the "black" 3/M Adhesive...came out better than factory.

Hammer, sounds like the type of rubber used makes all the difference....I still have problems with my windows not fitting the alignment of the t-tops. What was the name of your supplier again?

Thanks

Hi:

Check out this previous forum. I ordered my W/S from TLD. As you will read I too had problems with it fitting correctly - initially. It took me and a friend several hours to get the windows adjusted properly, but it's been about one year and they still seal up great.
As far as the quality of TLD parts and customer service, they are the best, at both, than any other vette parts dealer that I've done business with. Especially the customer service, I rate it # 1.

Just my $.02.
