Two days after it rumbled off the assembly line, the first production 2009 Corvette ZR1 made a pit-stop at the National Corvette Museum.

Owner Dave Ressler took the newest addition to his car collection on a trip to Bowling Green's Corvette museum.

It can now be seen on display along with another unique ride, Ressler's 1953 Corvette, which was the third one ever built and the oldest production Vette in existence.

Ressler was on hand today, signing autographs, meeting fellow car buffs and talking about his ZR1.

"For the first time ever, we're going to have the oldest Corvette ever, and the newest of the newest Corvettes sitting side by side, which is probably a first for General Motors on the Corvette thing," he said.

Ressler won the exclusive new Corvette at a Barret-Jackson auto auction, with a winning bid of $1-million.

It has a one-of-a-kind VIN number and Le Mans Blue paint color.

The ZR1 and the 1953 Corvette were on display at the museum today only.

Both cars now head back to Montana to join dozens more, in Ressler's private collection.
